this began at the balmoral show in belfast, N.I. and came from a desire to go off the proverbial rails as regards handspun yarns....I started with around 100g merino, dyed with lemon and lime KoolAid, then added a little bit of cotton, some silk cocoon, some handdyed silk throwsters waste, some lengths of ribbon and lengths of cotton fabric and then just kept going....I ended up plying it with a 2-ply cotton yarn to keep it a bit more regular. you'll also find the odd button here and there..
bulky to super bulky, 107m, 117yards
the price reflects the length of time it took to tie and then spin in all the pieces of fabric and ribbon and the fiber used.
